Paris...Within the past two weeks Hamas, supposedly under continuous pressure from conservative factions, passed new laws governing how women's lingerie can be displayed inside and outside stores...also enacted, was a law which states that stores selling women's apparel must have their doors ajar at all times while conducting business and that all mannequins appearing in shop windows not be provocative...

…Other laws which were recently passed are the following :

…a woman must not appear in a public place alone.

…a woman must not be seated as a passenger behind a man on a motor-scooter. (altho there are a few who do actually drive them).

…a woman may not smoke a water-pipe in a public place.

...This morning in Central Paris and for the first time I met this young Muslim woman who has been working in a lingerie store for 1 year.  When I updated her on the new laws she was surprised, even disbelieving, until we searched the news on the internet...at that point I asked if she would consent to presenting her views to a CNN audience and to my surprise she agreed. Of course, since she is working in such a store, one might expect her to voice the opinions she does,...anyway, here's one French Muslim woman's opinion about  the new laws governing lingerie in Gaza...

all photos and videos: 26-27/08 in central Paris..

.provocative?..elegant?...who's to say?

Qui sera…sera….what will be,…will be…!!

…..unless…we/they change the future….

.....the woman speaking in the video was very clear in stating to me that it was NOT out of her religious beliefs that she did not want her face to appear, but rather out of concerns for her privacy.
