August 26, 2010
Audio recording of the August 24, 2010 termination meeting  held at Duke Tower, the corporate headquarters for the Halifax Regional  Municipality of Nova Scotia, I have edited the original by removing a  reference to a previously named person.  At this meeting Deputy CAO Mike  Labrecque of Corporate Services & Strategy has the divine task of  terminating my 12 year career with the Halifax Regional Fire &  Emergency Services.  A career that had been riddled with ongoing  incidences of harassment, discrimination, and numerous humiliating and  defaming experiences, all under the watchful eye of senior management  and some with the knowledge of HRM Mayor Peter Kelly and council.   The  same senior management that I am reported as, not being apologetic to.   When the perpetrator becomes successful in having themselves painted as  the victim, it is indeed a sad day for legitimate victims of  discrimination and harassment here in Nova Scotia, fast becoming known  as the "Mississippi of the North".   In this recording you will hear the  deputy CAO describe their findings of an internal HRM corporate  investigation.  This investigation was presented to me and union  leadership, as being independent of the fire service.  Yet, present at  the first meeting was senior administrative chief Larry Williams, who  reports directly to the two named Plaintiffs Fire Chief Bill Mosher and  his Deputy Chief Steve Thurber.  At this first meeting Mr. Williams  recorded the entire meeting.  I am sure the contents of that recording  were presented to his bosses for their personal and private use for  their so called "private defamation" lawsuit that was initially funded  by the taxpayers of Halifax Regional Municipality.  I believe the  citizens of HRM should be demanding their $30,000.00 repaid in full with  interest from these two "private" citizens.  How would it look for  these two individuals to reap the rewards of a monetary settlement,  thanks to the funding of you, the overtaxed HRM taxpayer.  But not only  has these two fire chiefs benefited from the generosity of the you, so  has HRM themselves, by being able to use the names and information  gained from the so called "private action", funded by you.  More  information can be found on a newly created facebook page.
